Jay Prag

Professor Prag has taught finance, strategy and economics classes at the Peter F. Drucker School of Management in Claremont, CA since 1986, and leadership at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont for the past ten years. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Rochester. 

He has been the Academic Director of the Executive MBA program and the Financial Engineering Program during his time at the Drucker School. He serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Innovations Committee for LINC Housing, a nonprofit, low-income housing developer in Long Beach, CA. He previously served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Finance Committee for Mount San Antonio Gardens, a nonprofit retirement community in Claremont, CA. Over the years, he also has been involved in and served on the Board of Directors of several start-ups. Professor Prag has also won twenty-nine teaching awards during his years at the Claremont Colleges.

Professor Prag can be heard every week on the Lou Desmond Show, KMET 1490 AM and he had a column in the LA News Group newspapers for many years. He is the author (with Jim Wallace) of Financial Management for Executives and his book (with Peter Kennedy) book Macroeconomic Essentials will be available in 2017.
